nFront Consulting focuses on the electric power industry, providing its clients (generation and transmission project developers, lenders, equity investors, financial institutions, public and private utilities, and other utility-related interests) with high-quality, innovative, and strategic solutions to resolve complex energy issues.
Position Overview
The Consultant will perform a wide range of assignments to support the project prosecution, project management, due diligence, nodal analyses, network visualization, graphical representations, reports, analytics, and other investigative and analytical aspects of our T&D Services practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Gathering and organizing information related to generation queues, required generator interconnection upgrades, transmission expansion plans, and other market and planning related information.
- Using licensed database tools to compile and summarize historical data.
- Analyzing data gathered and developing inputs for electric power system models.
- Using Visio (or comparable software in the future) to create graphical representations of potions of the electric power system.
- Use power flow based tools to support in technical analytics.
- Perform electric power system nodal analyses commensurate with experience level.
- Reviewing Generator Interconnection Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, and related documents to extract critical information and identify potential financial risks.
- Supporting project management duties, including tracking deadlines, coordinating deliverables, and facilitating clear communication among team members.
- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and clients by telephone, in written form, e‑mail, or in person.
- Conferring with co-workers to ensure successful production of analytic, graphics and work products within the project deadlines.
- Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Contributing to written reports including documenting methodologies, providing background data and detailing analyses.
- Working as part of a project team to coordinate tasks and deliverables.

- Proficiency or the ability to develop proficiency with technical tools including S&P Global Energy Data, Energy Velocity Suites, Power‑Gem’s TARA power flow, Hitachi’s ProMOD/TAM, Enverus or other comparable tools which may be updated from time to time.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Visio.

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, preferably in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- At least two years of experience in the energy industry, with up to eight years of overall professional experience.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Eligible to access FERC CEII and licensed data sources.
- Strong proficiency in using technical analysis tools relevant to the field.
- A dedicated, professional, secure home office space with broadband Internet connection.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Additional Information
Location:Â Fully remote from US-based location, although greater Phoenix area is preferred
Status:Â Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range:Â $90,000 to $135,000, depending on experience and qualifications
